IE 9

There have been a few work related sites that are broken in it, mostly from dodgy development practices, but other then that it's a solid browser. Also, the font rendering on CP is kinda funky.

I'm waiting to see what they announce for IE10 at Mix. I bet they'll keep their one year cycle. The changes they are proposing to CSS are very encouraging.

The only problem that's turned up so far, is that when I log into my online broker account some of the pages don't display
Do you have any idea why these pages don't render? Flash, silverlight, etc.?

No idea. I sent an email to them (zecco.com) and all they could tell me is that it works under FF and IE8. It does.

That is a bit troubling that something that works in IE8 doesn't in IE9.

In the last batch of updates available I noticed IE 9 for Windows 7 64bit. I am hesitant to download it until I am sure it is ready for prime time and not just a beta test version being released so that the hoards of unpaid system testers can report problems. What are your experiences with IE 9, especially for Windows 7 64bit?

I'm on-line therefore I am. JimmyRopesIt's OK, but you may want to use the 32-bit version as its much faster. MS couldn't be bothered to write a 64-bit version of their JavaScript engine, so JS performance is truly awful on IE9 64-bit. (I keep feeling like MS aren't really commited to 64-bit yet - still, at least Chrome is good)

I'm on-line therefore I am. JimmyRopesI like it (on Vista 32-bit) but printing seems to be broken. It's faster than IE8 and gives me a bit more vertical space, which is nice on a widescreen notebook.
