I am using VBA with Access atm. To be honest VB6 is like riding a bike. You never really forget and every time you do it you are reminded why adults drive cars.

I also do Android Programming as I find it a refreshing break from the MS. "And they, since they Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs" -- Robert Frost

I'd rather put my hands into a blast furnace for 5mins rather than using VB.

                  It's like

VB6... the little scratch on the roof of your mouth that would heal if only you could stop tonguing it, but you can't.

How'd that happen. Did someone finally not blink when you quoted your VB6 surcharge, or is the contract market so bad you had to swallow your pride to pay the mortgage?

Haha, no, it is a small sub project I am working on. I am evaluating moving this Access system to be migrated Oracle the thing was written back in 1998 or something. Most of my day is still occupied with doing statistical modeling which is really kind of fun. I had forgotten how much I actually like math. Access uses VBA, and VBA is VB6 without steroids.

Looks like a bunch of C programmers with nothing better to do but respond to this thread. There ain't nothing you can do in any other language that you can't do at least as well in VB.NET. I've used VB since it was QBasic (and probably earlier) and it is still the BEST for getting the job done!! If you can't do it in VB, it quite simply doesn't have to be done... Now the rest of you go get lost in your ";'s", brackets, etc. and let the productive people in VB get the job done on time and within budget!! bwana

I love programming in VBA/Excel. Its amazing that with even its many limitations, I am able to be so productive on Excel. -- www.athenatennis.com.sg Nurting creativity and talent in kids.
