I was just discussing with a new programmer and I always install the following. Virtual Clone Drive 7-zip System Internals WinDirStat What do you use? That might be good for him. I am so used to these they are just my stand by utilities on any windows machine. http://rnbergren.blogspot.com

It's hard to categorize firearms. They cool be tools, toys, sporting equipment, or even sexual aids. :)

                        Google and sometimes Bing.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

"Can't live without" is a bit too strong, but I really like to have: vim a decent debugger a decent compiler (except for interpreted languages, of course) a decent source control system OneNote (or some other decent note management system - I am not aware of anything coming close to OneNote) internet connection a decent web browser (Chrome, IE9) a decent mail/calendar/task client (Outlook is kind of OK)

"Can't live without" is a bit too strong, but I really like to have: vim a decent debugger a decent compiler (except for interpreted languages, of course) a decent source control system OneNote (or some other decent note management system - I am not aware of anything coming close to OneNote) internet connection a decent web browser (Chrome, IE9) a decent mail/calendar/task client (Outlook is kind of OK)

                                          utf8-cpp

ah OneNote, Use it, forgot to mention it. Also, Evernote and Springpad come to mind. springpadit.com it is nearly as good as onenote, and works on more systems.
