The answer is, of course, a last name. The Pope didn't lose the name Ratzinger, he's simply using an alias. Underneath his miter and robes, he's still the same "Ratty" he always was.

I wonder if the Vatican has had enough time to mull over the countless multitudes that have been tortured and killed over the years in the name of the church. So, I am not surprised at all that they want more time to figure out what they are going to do with their dirty butt pluggers.
