    Check the options in the software you're using to burn the mix - many have some sort of volume normalization feature built in (even if it's hidden away in an Options page somewhere). Alternately if you're burning MP3s, use MP3Gain[^] to analyze and normalize the set before burning them. Oh, and congratulations!

          Congrats!!! Welcome to the League!!! Most CD burners have an option to "normalize" volume levels of audio files that are being written. What tool do you use?

          thank you! I'm using the CDBurnerXP software and I've not found anything that fits my needs there... :sigh:

            And if you have the option, normalize the peaks, not the RMS. That way, the songs that are supposed to be quiet-ish won't sound like they're being performed by a marching band.

            It always itches for the first week or so. My Mu[sic] My Films My Windows Programs, etc.

                      I remember Nero has an option to normalize volume of audio files.
