To make an opening comment or two, I am sufficiently far right to consider both Genghis Kahn and Attila the Hun as left wing, lily-livered, pinko-liberal do-gooders, and also, I served, and am proud to have done so. As footnote, I am also a deep admirer of both the American Constitution, and the Founding Fathers. I started to read the post with an open mind, and frankly, not only do I like a good conspiracy theory, I also believe that most, if not all, governments will enter any undertaking that they think they can get away with. I was enjoying the whole thing until I reached the “Marxist-Leninist psychopaths” bit, whereupon I started to get a little suspicious, so I looked up the author, of whom I had heard little in the past. She would appear to have an agenda. When I was serving, there was an absolutely golden rule in my area of expertise – always evaluate intelligence in the light of its source, and so I went back and started to reread the article, looking for some good triple-A data. Regrettably, I found none – in fact, the whole thing foundered in the initial premise that Bin Laden was already dead from renal failure. Bluntly, the suggestion that, out of his tens of thousands of fanatic followers, no one would give him a kidney – or even two, in the light of their apparent urge to become martyrs to the cause - patently ludicrous. Without this corner stone, the rest of the edifice would appear to collapse. It is also worth noting that the sentence “Bin Laden had a genetic condition that caused renal failure (this genetic condition is common among deeply inbred Saudi Arab Muslims)” is first of all conjecture, but most importantly, irrelevant, as Osama Bin Laden’s mother was Syrian, with no chance of inbreeding. I enjoyed reading the article, and actually found it almost plausible, until it moved into political hysteria at the end. I would also like to add that I have read an American novel with a plot very similar to the one presented here. Finally, having been shot at in anger, and fortunately (at least from my point of view) been missed, I can do no other than quote Oliver Cromwell, as reported by Valentine Blacker in 1856, "Put your trust in god(*), my boys, and keep your powder dry!" (*) I strongly suggest your personal pantheon includes such deities as “Remington Arms Co”, “Smith and Wesson Holding Corporation”, “Colt’s Manufacturing Co”, and similar divine entities.

Obviously, you have a bad case of Attila Derangement Syndrome. ;)

Good enough. Have you evaluated the evidence for Osama's death going down the way it was reported (any of the varying reports put out by the White House until the found one they liked?) Perhaps John is overreacting, perhaps not. But there is no reason particularly to believe the Obama is telling us the truth - even though it would have been quite easy for him to have provided incontrovertible proof instead of making up a Muslim burial at sea ceremony. As John has already noted in his response, the FEMA camps do exist. It's equally true that we have in Napolitano someone who is far more concerned with demobilized veterans rising up than with groups like the Black Muslims, La Raza, or the folks planning on Days of rage at Wall Street and Broad. Why would someone assume that men and women who have put their lives on the line be the biggest threat to her version of law and order?

After my wife read what I posted, she suggested we buy more ammo.

I already have several thousand rounds on hand. In fact, I have so much that I have to store it downstairs because where I was storing it (upstairs), the floor started to sag from the weight. The weight from it also destroyed a metal shelving unit. It now sits on what amounts to a 3/4-inch plywood platform with deep carpet underneath. And that's just the ammo that's in ammo boxes. I have another 1000 rounds or so already in magazines/weapons.

I replace it as I use it. When I use 300 rounds, I buy 600 rounds. :) When I need food, I'll hunt it down and kill it.

I mean, really? You really think Obama is a part of some New World Order, that his presidency is a conspiracy, that you're going to have to fight the UN to maintain your "freedoms" or be interned in fema camps? That's fucking hilarious.

There is nothing funny about having a New World Order (Barack - Hebrew [don't let his spelling fool you]), Jihadist (Hussein - Muslim), Brit (Obama - Kenyan [Commonwealth]) President who is plotting to hand the USA back to Her Most Puissant(*) Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (titular(*) head of the New World Order). BTW. Osama was rescued by the SAS in 2001, and has a suite in Kensington Palace. His health is excellent. * I am sure there's a joke for Oakman here.

But plausibility goes so well with a psychotic rant, that you rarely see the two standing alone. :) The evidence of FEMA camps (completely fenced with inward facing barbed wire) and practice for marshal law by the armed forces (and not just the Guard) is simply too coincidental. Just because it seems ridiculous doesn't mean you should keep a steady eye on your six...

I must confess that I find the FEMA camps rather extraordinary, and since the collapse of the Soviet Union (who had the Gulags), can see no reason for any nation to build - and carry on building - such structures. If I were an American citizen I would be asking my government hard questions concerning why they thought they needed such things, who they were for, and why they were costing so much money. However, it is worth remembering that it was during the Bush administration that FEMA got most of its teeth, and it was the Bush administration that gave Halliburton a $385M five year contract to build more camps in 2006.

I would never put down to conspiracy what can be explained by sheer bloody incompetence - and even more so when we are looking at the government, any government. I suspect the raid did not go entirely to plan, the compound was essentially unarmed, and a cold hard look at the details might have made it look too much like a cold blooded murder, considering Obama's 'regard for Moslem sensibilities'. This is also a good fit with the rapid burial and no photos (the corpse was shot to bits), and 'Moslem sensibilities' (within 24 hours). As a result, the incident had to be dressed up for public consumption, and this is one of the strongest arguments destroying the conspiracy theory - if it were pre-planned to the extent in the article, the story from the Whitehouse would have been smooth, off pat, and emminently believable. Personally, I would have stuck his head on a pike outside the Tower of London.

Ah - the truth! Now there is a slippery concept! We also had another maxim - it doesn't matter how much you know, learn, or analize a situation, you will never actually know the truth. In politics, the 'truth' is particularly malleable, and tends to become confused with 'convenience', 'expedience' or both. The best position to take is that he is telling you something between an outright lie, and a truth that even he doesn't know, because he wasn't there and the word passed up to him through many layers of command.

I found this on the web this morning, and if it didn't sound plausible, I wouldn't post it here. For our American users: Subject: The Execution of SEAL Team Six (and Ramadan) The Execution of SEAL Team Six (Part 1) Posted by Ann Barnhardt - August 6, AD 2011 4:08 PM MST Barnhardt.biz - Commodity Brokerage (CPR: She's the SAME Ann Barnhardt that burned the Koran for being EVIL.) You're damn right I said it. On May 5th I had an email conversation with a retired military man with spook contacts. All were in total agreement that the Bin Laden episode was pure theater. The SEALS were sent into a compound as evidenced by the lost chopper on site. But Osama Bin Laden wasn't in that compound. Osama Bin Laden has been dead for years. Bin Laden had a genetic condition that caused renal failure (this genetic condition is common among deeply inbred Saudi Arab Muslims). Bin Laden had been on dialysis BEFORE 9/11. Dialysis is difficult enough for people in first world countries who can have it done in outstanding facilities. Bin Laden was having it done either in caves or in homes post 9/11. People in renal failure having dialysis done in fricking caves do NOT live for ten more years. Period. There was no dialysis equipment found in the compound the SEALS raided on May 2. Of course there wasn't. Bin Laden wasn't in that compound because Bin Laden has been dead for years. This is why the "body" was declared "positively identified" faster than any known DNA testing process in existence - and this DNA testing was carried out not in a lab mind you, but inside Chinook and/or V-22 Osprey helos en route to the USS Carl Vinson. The body was then dumped into the Indian Ocean in a mad dash to ensure that "burial" took place within 24 hours of death in order to "honor" musloid burial traditions. Not a single picture of the so-called "Bin Laden corpse" has ever been released - and never will. The entire Bin Laden episode was stagecraft. It was pure theater that was designed to give Obama a boost in the polls and give distraction and cover. Distract from what? Cover from what? My vote of 1 (I'll get downvoted myself probably). The article sounds like complete nonsense to me. I'm convinced that there are things "covered up" for the benefit of the few, but I doubt that even 5% if this article comes near the truth. The change in tone and extreme language building up near the end removes any objectivity IMHO. You never know of course and it was an amusing read.

I have no reason to defend Bush - and was called a traitor by one wingnut right here on CP because Of my criticism of his handling of Iraq, But Bush is no excuse for Obama, they are simply a 1-2 punch to the Constitution.
