Again, you are judging. Who didn't love Ellen in Finding Nemo, eh? She was awesome. I don't hate her but I do disagree with her. Stop trying to make everything worse than it is.
-
You don't disagree with her you disagree with who she is. Hate what you want but at least be honest about it.

I cannot agree with the first part of your post but as you say different topic. Wrong place too.

Think gene therapy or some such. Why wouldn't it be curable? If someone desired to change that and the technology were available, why not? Why would that not be just as acceptable as a sex change operation?

I don't think that it is and since neither of us is likely to move from our position it is fruitless to discuss it further. :)

I didn't say what your views of homosexuality were. It's quite obvious that you think it's ok, and that you approve of a group that pressured Komen to supply funds to abort babies. It's quite obvious that you think ill of a group (you called them zealots, a pejorative term) that is attempting to pressure JC Penney to fire someone because of their "lifestyle". It's clear you think they should be silenced. You are correct that having Ellen Degeneres as a spokesperson and Abortion are not the same thing. What is the same is that these two groups should be allowed to voice their opinions freely and not be attacked and demonized for thinking differently. You are a hypocrite and a bigot.

With their usual threats of boycotts, etc. In my world, that goes beyond voicing of opinions. What is more ironic than a 'right to lifer' sniping at people entering an abortion clinic - or even more mildly, knocking down pregnant women! I'm not blind to the pressure put on the Komen foundation by those who said they'd no longer donate to them if they persist in their scheme. The targeting of Planned Parenthood (in particular) has long been a favorite of the vocal components of the right. The decision of the previously referred to infestation of Komen's board by those who subvert its reason for being for their own political agenda outweighed the that. How so? Because donors gave money for optimization of detecting breast cancer in women - and here we have active efforts to reduce the effectiveness for purely political purposes: woman who may lose a breast - or their life? Just collateral damage for their incredibly perverse concept of a greater good. What I see here is that you may have a strong cultural bias against (1) abortion, and (2) homosexuality. I have my own religious and cultural bias' - but my upbringing also enables me to compartmentalize my beliefs, even isolating them, when it's for the greater civic good.

I actually wasn't suggesting that it was any form of "illness". But there are some who say it's in the genes, hence my suggestion of gene therapy, if gene therapy ever becomes available or desirable. But you are probably right that it would be a fruitless discussion.

And liberals boycott as well, again hypocrisy. Why is it ok for them and not for someone else? I agree wholeheartedly that with your comment about a 'right to lifer' sniping at people, even killing. I only brought in the Komen situation as comparable on the right to voice and agitate for one's position and opinions. As the left certainly did there (and got what they wanted -- kudos to them). I'm just asking for fair, equal treatment. Something the "Occupiers" are always screaming and agitating about, but unwilling to give. Talk about ironic, the Occupiers are hurting the very people they claim to "represent". I've not stated my position on homosexuality nor abortion.

Again, I disagree with what she does. Disagree and hate are very different. Stop hating on me for disagree with her.
She is a lesbian. It's not what she does, it is not a choice, it is who she is. If you have a complete and fundamental dislike of homosexuality then you hate it. Not my fault how words work. I don't hate you for hating her. I just think you are very silly. Silly things sometime make me smile, sometimes a bit sad. Often they're just a mild distraction in idle moments.

Disliking homosexuality and disliking an individual who is homosexual are not one and the same. Disagreeing with the practice of homosexuality does not equate to hating someone who practices homosexuality.

Bill O'Reilly standing up for Ellen DeGeneres[^] Worth watching  It's about JC Penny, who have chosen Ellen Degeneres as their spokesperson. One Million Moms, a mathematically-challenged group of 40,000 bored, whiny stay-at-home pastors’ wives really hate the gays. So they called for a boycott - and received a close down for their facebook group page.

Dislike and hate are not the same thing. Where do you come up with this stuff? Either way, 1) I dislike the choices she has made, 2) I do not hate her, 3) She does have a choice in her sexuality.

Hate is nothing more than a strong dislike.

If god "hates" sin and homosexuality is a sin then god hates homosexuality, whether the behavior or the person is not the question here. If you are a follower of god then you must "hate" the same things god hates. God does not "disagree" with sin, he "hates" it. So call an apple an apple. I am not in any way insinuating that you hate the person, by the way.
