I think the N-series is better but is there any point which K-series can compare to N-series (except the lower price)? I am going to buy a laptop for work, of course programming and other IT related tasks (I intend to program with some modern languages such as csharp, java, cpp, php, asp... for both desktop and mobile applications, also I want to install some virtual machines in my laptop to simulate some network). I like ASUS laptops and I wonder if a N-series can satisfy my requirements which are mainly for work but I also need some good features for music and entertainment. I know N-series is built for entertainment purpose but is it good for programming job? Hope some one has experienced with ASUS N and K series can share with me! Thank you in advance!

I have had an N71J for almost two years - never had a problem, great graphics, great sound (bass booster in the base). I code and compile VS2010 solutions of >20 projects with ease. (No SSD). Dual monitors are also great although the 17" screen also more than adequate... Cool touch palm-rest works as advertised. I didn't get the K series because the sound wasn't as good.

I don't speak Idiot - please talk slowly and clearly "I have sexdaily. I mean dyslexia. Fcuk!" Driven to the arms of Heineken by the wife
