I'm brazilian and english (well, human languages in general) aren't my best skill, so, sorry by my english. (if you want we can speak in C# or VB.Net =p)

The plural of Cheese is either "Cheese" or "Cheeses" depending on context. The plural of "Deer" is Deer" - that's it. However, if the singular of "Teeth" is "Tooth" and "Geese", "Goose" and "Feet", "Foot; why isn't the singular of "Sheep", "Shoop"?

I know what you mean. I have figured that because Australians are from Australia, Candians must be from Canadia. However, there seem to be very few who have come to this same conclusion.

Well after I brushed the snow off my keyboard and used my heat gun to thaw out the keys spelling it was the easy part ... even considering I didn't take my mits off :-D

My understanding was always that: - 2 deer were of the same species but 2 deers were different (eg. 1 mule deer + 1 white tailed deer = 2 deers). - 2 beer are of the same brand, 2 beers are different brands. - 2 sheep are the same breed, 2 sheeps are different breeds. ... but I'm not sure about cheese and cheeses. I also had a manager that used to talk about the softwares on his computer. That was too ugly for me. ... what is the plural of furniture? or hardware?

If you want to. You can also say "mouses" and "sheeps" if you want to, and if all the people you talk to will understand (and not arrogantly view you as an idiot). Such linguistic details aren't law, they're custom.

ITYM "martino". No need to go back as far as ancient Latin, when there weren't any martinis; it's modern Italian (as is the drink). It was named after a guy, though, wasn't it? The North of the Netherlands is, for some obscure (but probably googleable, if I weren't so lazy) reason full of places named after a guy with the same name.
