So, you don't believe in posting in the Meetings and Get-Togethers Nish? We need an admin to move your post.

I am surprised that you thought I overlooked that. This is a conscious decision on my part to post this here :-) I will probably post a separate thread there.

I am trying to see if there are enough CPians in Central Ohio (or nearby cities) to do a meetup in or around Columbus this month. If we do have one, it will be officially backed by CodeProject. Gary, I know you are in Dayton. I assume there must be a few CPians in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, Akron, Toledo etc. A tentative idea is to meet for food/beer and discuss technology, maybe have 2-3 mini tech sessions. If you guys are interested, please reply back to this thread. Thanks.

      Regards, Nish

I'm one state and about 4.5 hours drive away from Columbus. So while I wish you the best of luck; unless you manage to pull off something that crosses my Wow! threshold I'll have to give it a pass.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt

I'm 4 hours out, but it's not impossible. I'll have to wait and see how things go.

I am 3 hrs 41 min away (according to Google), but I am not sure if I can make it. I don't think I can, so I wish you all the best. I can't drink yet, but my B-Day is August 16th, then I will be 21! And yes, I am interested!

We should do an Illinois one, I think there are a couple of others.

That's a good idea. However, I am not capable of organizing/managing events.

Would you be okay with doing it on a Wednesday evening? Or do you prefer the weekend? I am asking everyone who replied so we can decide on a date/venue. Also, can you reply in this thread as well? http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4584540/CodeProject-10-million-members-meetup-Central-Ohio.aspx[^]
