So, in other words, dissenters need not reply? Sorry, it doesn't work that way. If you want to make your own site that does, feel free. And you ought to take it as a sign of respect that your pigheaded and mean-spirited posts on this topic haven't been reported into oblivion.

Hold on, I'm confused. I thought the LOUNGE was all about, doing whatever we wanted? You can't have it both ways, can I say whatever I want here, or not? (According to you, and another poster, you can do whatever you want, because it's the lounge, so, which is it?)

This is my topic, respect it, and me.

Wrong. I exist to piss in the corn flakes of twat whiners who post here.

Who's whining, certainly not me. I asked a simple question about how you guys thought I should handle a specific situation. The whiners are all around you, but, you're aiming your guns at the wrong person. ;)

I have to say, I'm not the one getting a brand new orifice ripped by a number of people for being a dick: you need to learn/understand what sarcasm is and accept that, on current evidence, you have had a humor bypass.

Correct, you ARE confused. And a troll. Of course you can say what you want (to a point); however, you seem to want others to respect you and you want them to conform to your requirements for "your topic." My point was that we are required to do neither -- in particular conform to your requirements regarding *any* topic. If you want respect, show it. Unless things have changed since I originally read the thread, you hadn't been reported for abuse even though you have certainly earned it with some of your antisocial comments, so you're being given more respect than you deserve at this point. Now perhaps you're usually a great person and are just having a bad day and unloading on us as a result. If that's the case then perhaps you should step away from the keyboard and enhance your calm. Then you can come back to the keyboard and play nicely.

I think you'll find that most American do understand English. It's old people, that fail to realize that America is the melting pot, it's culture is constantly evolving. Most of what you see on the internet, and in the world today, is just slang, the rest, is stupidity, I won't argue that, it's blatant. My point, is that American English is constantly evolving, or as the kids would say, ya gotta keep up wit da timez dawg, do ya feel me?

I think I've worked out why you always argue with people who are not native English speakers. I've also just checked, and apparently you're not in charge of the Internet. I know, I was surprised too.

Maybe you should take your own advice. The only people I've said anything negative towards are: 1. People who have openly started debates with me. (I fight back, sorry if that bothers you.) 2. People who want to argue in languages they don't understand. (A very small minority of people.) So, report me, or whatever, I've done nothing wrong here. (Just make sure someone who ACTUALLY understands English reviews my post...) -- You act as if I'm in here just bashing foreigners, and that's just not the case, the truth of the matter is simple, you fall into one of these categories. 1. Don't understand English - And are in fact the very topic of discussion. 2. You are "projecting" your own feelings, and thoughts on to me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_projection[^] Or, as I stated originally, perhaps you just need to take your own advice.

No, you don't get it, so, I'm going to go ahead and turn up my sarcasm a few notches. OMFG!!! He pretended to be foreign, HOW F*CKING HILARIOUS!!!! (Again, I'm serious, you're puppet funny at best, which isn't funny at all, do you hear me Jeff Dunham, do you???) But hey, I'll work with you. I've got an idea for a good joke myself, I'll make an ALT count, pretend to be a girl, make you fall in love with me, and then, when we finally meet, I'll be like, GOTCHA!!! /sarcasm You'll love it, it's your kind of humor. ;) (Note the wink, hinting to the joke at your expense.) ---- (Edit: Apparently I didn't turn up my sarcasm enough, because, well, see the reply... It's sad folks.) (Edit2: Wow, I had to literally add /sarcasm tags and annotations, because, they were necessary, apparently... Kind of ruins the effect, I think, but, whatever, my audience is a bit, slow.)

One of the biggest issues I've had on this site, and others, is with people who don't natively speak English. Some of them are very nice, and cool people. However, some of them, like to argue with you, despite barely being able to understand you. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mind foreigners, however, I do mind the people in question, the ones who will blindly attack me, when in reality, it's their own fault. To clarify, I wouldn't go to a Japanese forum, and argue with people in Japanese, because, I don't properly understand the language, and a debate of any kind requires understanding. (As do conversations in general.) Do, you see where I'm coming from? I just don't understand the logic of these people, are they just stupid, international trolls, I don't know. ? I would almost suggest they stick to forums that cater to their own language, at least until they get a better grip on the English language, and can have rational conversations. And okay, let's say they do come to an English speaking forum, and haven't quite mastered the language, well, perhaps they should avoid debates until they can understand what's going on a bit better. Am I wrong here? Should I be more patient? Should I ignore them when they act up? I've been arguing with them, but it seems to go nowhere, but, if you do nothing, then, they're not going to learn, or stop. (Can I report this behavior?) What do you guys think?

Let me guess... USA? :-D Because in India, we say 'Do you understand me?' (in 24 fame Jack Bauer tone). OK so apart from the lame joke... How do you suggest these people with limited English language skill will improve when you don't want them talking. I think the best way to learn a language is to use it / apply it. I understand sometimes it is difficult to deal with certain people, but you are not talking to them in person right? You can always ignore them. You always have complete control on the debate, you can always make it stop from your end.

Trust me, people with better control over English language are much more difficult to deal with when they are trolling. And I am guessing you are new here, (you are here since 3 years but just started contributing.) be patient and you will get over these silly things... :)

I have plenty of friends who don't speak English natively, don't act like you know me. This whole topic is about: People who try to argue\debate in languages that they don't understand well enough to be doing so. That's hardly a LARGE portion of the worlds population, most people have enough sense not to be doing this.

The classic phrase of glass houses springs to mind. You've been twatted by an Indian over your poor English and try to fight back with stupid. Again you've been shown up by the natives better command of the language.

Not a single person in this topic has shown me up. Please, point out these post, I'd love to see them. (I'm seriously, confused, I have NO CLUE, what you're on about.)

I think I've worked out why you always argue with people who are not native English speakers. I've also just checked, and apparently you're not in charge of the Internet. I know, I was surprised too.

Not everything is a joke, nor should it be. I'm all about fun, in the proper place, and time, but this, this is like having a clown at a funeral, it's not funny, at all.
