Fair enough. I could have worded it differently, but he had already called me stupid in a previous post so I wasn't trying to be polite. Perhaps I should have been.

I didn't give it much thought until I told him to stop the personal attacks and he went ahead and sent another one on a different thread. That is when I started reporting him for abuse.

Yeah I've got a lot to do today, want to get out and walk a few miles and do some more preparation for a trip I'm taking one week from tomorrow, going off the grid for a month. Taking a trip out to AZ to see my brother and do a tour of National and State parks in AZ and Utah. I think I've talked to you about this before? but am finally going to do it. Renting a car and plan on putting about 10K miles on it in the month I have it. Camping, hiking, backpacking and whatever comes along. I am also going to take a ton of photos I have a Nikon D7000 and; 4 X 32GB and 1 16GB SDHC cards so I figure I can get about 7K pictures, hope that's enough? :)

Going off the grid is always rewarding. I used to do it more when I was younger and miss the adventure of it all. 7K photo capacity should last you about a week. Looking forward to seeing some photos when you return.

I go off as often as I can, the grid that is. :) I want to do this one final long distance off the grid while I still can. I may try a long distance backpack on the Florida trail or the Appalachian trail before it's all over but will have to see if and when the time comes if I'm able!

So Vista doesn't work, so I chuck in a Win7 DVD, and run it. I chose upgrade. It says, go to this link and download SP1 first. I go to that link, and IE tells me I need to upgrade IE. I really fucking hate Windows and MSFT. All they produce is shit.

Lets get a few things straight: 1) You completely misunderstood what I wrote about Linux. I said it was more fun to work on, I didn't not call it 'shit hot' and nor am I an 'evangelist' which is what you said I am. That's why I called you stupid, because you jumped to the usual conclusion idiots make when discussing Linux and windows. 2) You then come at me with a load of patronising crap when clearly you have no idea just how little the kernel has changed since vista. 3) You then get all pissy when I point it out to you. 4) You then get my account deleted (about which I couldnt give a shit). All of which is so obvious other people point it out to you. Rule no 1. If you cat take it, don't dish it out. And deleting someones account because they upset you just makes you look a wimp.

His original handle was Fat Boy. When that got nuked, GW in the Lounge, he came back with Fat Eric. After abusing members that account was nuked too. There was another account of the Fat/Eric/Boy line that surprisingly was nuked. Erudite Eric started off being normal but slowly slipped back into his old tricks and has now been zapped. Watch this space for Erudite Boy.

God knows, and I dont care. The point is the link says to get a service pack for the OS and it takes me to an 'upgrade ie' page. Its just a pile of shit.
