That's why I called you stupid, because you jumped to the usual conclusion idiots make when discussing Linux and windows. 2) You then come at me with a load of patronising crap when clearly you have no idea just how little the kernel has changed since vista. 3) You then get all pissy when I point it out to you. 4) You then get my account deleted (about which I couldnt give a shit). All of which is so obvious other people point it out to you. Rule no 1. If you cat take it, don't dish it out. And deleting someones account because they upset you just makes you look a wimp.

His original handle was Fat Boy. When that got nuked, GW in the Lounge, he came back with Fat Eric. After abusing members that account was nuked too. There was another account of the Fat/Eric/Boy line that surprisingly was nuked. Erudite Eric started off being normal but slowly slipped back into his old tricks and has now been zapped. Watch this space for Erudite Boy.

I'm running Linux (Fedora) and hosting different other OSes (ubuntu server, windows). I'm using VirtualBox Seeamless Mode to run only the application I need from Windows, so I never see the OS :)

God knows, and I dont care. The point is the link says to get a service pack for the OS and it takes me to an 'upgrade ie' page. Its just a pile of shit.
Its a complete cycle if you need to upgrade make the damn upgrade it just don't work with a semi upgrade go for the full upgrade and give Microsoft a break you obsolete guy.

You don't get it do you? 1) I have vista. 2) I try to upgrade to win7. 3) It tells me 'get SP1 from this link' 4) I put said link into IE. 5) It tells me IE needs upgrading. Now, do you finally get it? And no, I have been writing kernel code for windows for 18 years, I have spent SOOOOO long messing with windows, and it is such frustrating SW to work with. It breaks, irreparably, so easily, and in so many ways.

This is were you went wrong. Windows is fine, especially from a user point of view it is far better than linux, but that´s a useless discussion right know.
