Oh wow. This is yet another case of 2014 really sucks as a year. Do you know what type of stroke it was? I hope that I'm reading it right that the dog stayed by your side the whole time. That's very touching, and yet another reason to love dogs. Good luck with your rehabilitation.

I know a dog that did the same for someone a few weeks ago, although strangely I don't know the person, just the dog. I'm sure if you had a cat it would have cleared off immediately, unless you were lying across the catflap in which case it would have had a quick attempt to roll you out of the way before starting to eat you. I think the way you have shown such determination to get on Code Project and rant about the hospital can only be a good sign. My very best wished for your swift and complete recovery.
