I predict this thread will be another dead end.

Oh, I dunno. There are some people for whom a "normal" exit just wouldn't be enough! The Imaginative Assassin could probably charge a premium for "special" jobs.

I'd slide McAfee and Symantec in near the top of that...and the f'tards that write RansomWare.

Good candidates as well. Symantec and InstallShield deserve extra attention for taking once great product lines and making them suck so hard they have an event horizon.

As someday it may happen that a victim must be found I have a little list (I have a little list) Of society's offenders who might well be underground And who never would be missed (they never would be missed) There's the pestilential nuisance who calls for "Tech Support" All people who write programs that exit with abort() All children with homework who want answers just too pat All persons who write viruses and other stuff like that And all third parties who on weaker codes insist They'd none of them be missed (they'd none of them be missed) ... (With apologies to Gilbert and Sullivan)

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack. --Winston Churchill
