Computer under attack

I use IE for browsing and I have Chrome set up to disable javascript and some sites I view in Chrome for this very reason, and it's almost always news sites or any other kind of content-focussed site. I've got quite good and looking at a url and predicting that I should open it in Chrome.

Yeah, but now that the 35 sites he chose to go to before CP are more usable for him, he won't come back here. We're out of cookies. We were relying on his subscription money.

On most other industry news sites, my computer falls under immediate attack from malware and ads and worthless flash which covers the page. its Worst than even dirty sites!! Sounds start playing, a garbage instantly moves on top of the link I wished. Thank you codeproject for having a clean page, not a shockwave flash trap of computer death.
Try ghostery Take Control of Your Digital Experience - Ghostery[^] and Ad Block Plus Adblock Plus - Surf the web without annoying ads![^] along with hosts files and you have a way better web experience !!!

Do NOT do this. This is stealing content without giving them the advertising revenue they need to survive as a business. It is no different than torrenting CD.

Flashblock, AdBlock Plus and some sites in hosts... I rarely see ads anymore, even in YouTube videos. Hosts is for the crappy sites sponsorised by Google, such as ask and softonic.

Ah, so now I'm a thief? :) Let us be clear; it is my PC, I pay for the electricity, I decide what the damn machine does. I never gave any website owner the permission to load third-party crap that they do not take responsibility for. As for the revenue, that is not just coming from ads - and those tracking-cookies will not be around permanently either.

My bandwidth, my PC, my time. Ads steal all of them, plus the malware they often try to install. Keeping thieves out is very well in my rights.
