2 or 3 idiots peer reviewing a piece of toilet paper does not make it fact Evolution changes "facts" every few weeks. Would you rather base your eternal security on something that changes every few weeks, or something that has held strong for over 2000 years? If you could put your money in a bank that changed names as fast as evolution theory, or one that has existed for 2000 years, which would you pick?
Would you rather bet your life on a medicine that has been rigorously blind tested and proven to work on the disease you suffer from, or visit your witch doctor so he can shake a stick at you and chant? The latter is the older medical treatment that has existed for probably tens of thousands of years... Evolution doesn't change "facts" at all: it isn't a "fact", it's a theory which explains and predicted extremely well changes we can and have seen happening in a population. Being a theory it is of course open to replacement if a better theory comes along and explains and predicts things better. And as for "something that has held strong for over 2000 years?" I would suggest you check your "facts" there as well unless you are reading it in the original paleo-Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic, or selected as "correct" by the papal Council of Carthage in 397AD (except for the Deuterocanonical books which were removed from the King James version in 1611 of course).

Yes, a game about Japanese pocket monsters - demons- that has so far claimed the lives of a few children and harmed the mind of many more. Is it any surprise that the game contains references to evolution?

I am not trying to start an argument - but your statement about the Greek is factually incorrect. I can read Koine Greek, and the hapax legomena term "theopneustos" (lit. God-breathed) in the Timothy verse is, indeed, a claim to God's authorship. This is purely objective linguistic judgment. It is perfectly valid for you to state that you do not believe that claim to be original or truthful, but it is not valid for you to state that it does not make such a claim. In evaluating anything, we must strive to be as objective as possible without letting our feelings or preconceptions leading us astray.
It would be hard to find a modern Greek scholar who does not think the interpretation of theopneustos as indicating the divine authorship of the Scriptures is entirely wrong. It fails to take into account the more general thrust of Pauline theology and understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit. The word must be interpreted as sacramental, that is to say that the words of scripture become sanctified in the moment of being read and understood by the believer as both the text and the mind are filled with the Holy Spirit. This is much more in tune with the early Christian's understanding of Christ as the living, dynamic God and Paul's insistence on the constant imannence of God in the Spirit, and, incidentally, with the views of later Pauline theologians such as Augustine and Luther. For all of them the sacredness and authority of Scripture lies in the relationship between word and mind infused with the Holy Spirit in the present moment. This is echoed in Paul's words about foolishness becoming wisdom when seen from the believer's position rather than the unbeliever's and other examples of the transformational power of the Spirit creating the Kingdom of God from the most everyday of things in sacramental relationships. That theopneustos cannot reasonably be interpreted as declaring divine authorship is reinforced by the absence anywhere else in the Bible itself nor the early Church of any indication that there was a belief in the actual involvement of God in the actual selection of and writing of the words of Scripture or any suggestion from the writers of epistles, gospels, or revelation that they were in any way under the control of God when writing. In Paul's case in particular, the number of errors, false starts, and non sequiturs renders any such suggestion preposterous. Moreover the context of Paul's remark here must also be taken into account here as it is clearly a response to what would have been an important issue for the early Christians; having rejected the Law as a means of salvation or a legitimate expression of our relationship with God should we not also reject the writings in which it is enshrined? Paul's answer is entirely more understandable as a claim that God through the Spirit can make use of even the apparently obsolete Torah than that it's all God's actual words. To claim the latter is as good as saying that God is a liar or deceiver or that Jesus was not the Son of that God thereby completely undermining Christian belief.
