Interestingly this varies by country and city. In Australia, it's the Volvo drivers who are the worst - though this may have changed. Over in Canada it's Lexus drivers (all the Volvo drivers over here are ageing hippies whose only crime is driving too slowly and with a hat on).

My experience here is that Subaru has taken over Volvo's aura of iunvulnerability. WRXs excepted, of course. Cheers, Peter

Turn signals, rear-view mirrors, headlights, ... the list goes on. My experience as a cyclist is that BMW drivers are asshats by choice, not by chance or innate talent.

In the UK the cycling nemesis du jour is the Audi AKA, "The Four Ring Circus". Audis seem to attract a particularly stupid and careless class* of driver that might previously have driven a Beemer. *Yes, there are sensible and careful Audi drivers, but they do seem to be a _very_ small minority.

Aha! From your question I see you must be an American driver. This makes sense.

            - I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

              What's an indicator?

If it's not broken, fix it until it is. Everything makes sense in someone's mind. Ya can't fix stupid.

Don't feel too bad. I read the replies to your question and still don't know what they are talking. However, I have already lost interest, so I will just assume it is a turn signal even though that does not make me get the point of the original post.

If you guys are talking about turn signals, I have seen BMW drivers use them on the Autobahn. They are going +200 km/h in the fast lane with their left turn signal on.

In Mexico, it is the bus drivers - believe me.

Whatever happened to just sticking your hand out of the window? People these days tend to take it as an insult.

No, that is accepted, providing the four fingers are together. It's when you use just two and separate them that the trouble starts.

Locally our two sets of drivers are the aforementioned BMW's and red pickup trucks (any make/model). The pickups like snagging you with their right-hand rear view mirror. I don't know why color makes a difference.
