If it goes on like in the last 30 years then it will be: 1. Secure your investment through our tool, blah blah blah 2. Using our tool, you can create reusable components (re-usable for how long?), blah, blah blah But I think it's time to change this and no longer discuss about C # || VB || Java || Python || .... It is time that a task can be defined in a meta language... and then tools (implemented perhaps in C # || VB || Java || Python ...) should convert this meta definition into applications . It means that the description of the task (in “the” meta language) remains ~"constant". The tools take over the translation of the “meta task” into the current techniques. Only my creazy mind. Bruno

After hearing for the past year at work how Salesforce can do everything including cure cancer and bring back Robbin Williams, I gotta say this is sooooooo true.

Would that be during [President Honey Boo-Boo's](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Here\_Comes\_Honey\_Boo\_Boo) first or second term?

Of course - it had to be upper case. I'd have thought "K" though - it can be used in so many ways:

          K? Greetings! How are you?
          K! Let's do it!
          K Whateva.
          K... Suspicious agreement.
          etc.

But no, no no, Robbin Williams is not responsiblefor all this :-D He (RW) is maybe not everybodies "thing".. but for my ears he is doing his Job not that bad ... compared to a lot of Software companies :-O RW is a great Entertainer, but from a Software Company I excpect something more than Entertainment ;) Bruno [Edit] Concerning Robbie Williams, in case you think he is only a bad Boy. I'm a Drummer and singer, but I'm not able to sing such a "simple" song like this that precise like RW does.... href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy4mXZN1Zzk">Robbie Williams - Feel - YouTube[^] And yes all this is far away from what a man like Elvis did... but now I have to go to Soap box  [/Edit] Moced to Soap box: [Nothing special](https://www.codeproject.com/Messages/5345871/Nothing-special.aspx)

Perhaps they'll be texting - and due to an additional 20 years of dumbing down the populace, they'll only have one letter so as not to get confused. Perhaps the only argument left will be what letter. Based on current texting practices, we can only hope it's the space-bar.

...the same crap. Anything they like is good; everything else is stupid. Today it's Apple vs PC and Java vs VB vs C#. In the future, it'll be qubits vs ESP.

20 years ago for embedded devs it was the shift from 8 bit controllers to 16 bit, DSPs and the exotic new 32 bit controllers. 20 years from now it'll be the shift from 32-bit ARM to 64-bit and virtual machines along with IPv6 for your IOT toaster....

I don't believe developers will be talking about anything in the future. Instead, they will just be texting emojis to each other...
