Didn't watch it but if this bit you posted is any indication then this has nothing to do with abortion.
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data. There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

It's the argumentation of a comedian, who happens to make some good points.

He might. But if ejaculation should not be named is one of his points then he does not know how to make a baby.

we not only care about the tragedy in front our eyes but also the millions of aborted humans every year. 22 lives gone is most definitely tragic but pales in comparison to the number of lives we throw in the dumpster every year simply because no one wants them. It's illogical to get upset at one and not the other.

The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic.
Stalin did nothing wrong wasn't wrong about that

Until society can make abortion unnecessary, it will remain. Until contraceptives are as easy to obtain has milk and eggs, until people line up to raise children who otherwise could not be given the best chances to succeed, until abortion is seen as the last viable option in a long list of alternatives, it will remain.

Besides MAYBE rape, incest, or health issues, when is it necessary?

Ask yourself this, which is worse: to be born into a world of poverty and crime where your parents cannot afford you and quite possibly view you as a burden, where the opportunities to succeed in life are basically nil or to never be born at all. I may not like abortion but if you weight it against a life-time of hardship just for being born, you can begin to understand the reason for making that choice. Ending the practice of abortion through force will end in a great many children being born that grow into a life of crime and poverty, further perpetuating the cycle. The only way to stop abortions from being performed is to either end poverty (pipe-dream) or provide pregnancy prevention and a vast support network that is all-to-willing to welcome that child into their family and raise them in better surroundings with a lot more life opportunity. Until society as a whole realizes this truth, it's going to keep fighting a battle it can never win.

You're still allowing a terrible thing for the small percentage of reasons. It's called burying your head in the sand because you don't want to deal with the bigger issue.

Why would you think that I am burying my head in the sand on this issue. Not to sound callous but I have arrived at my particular view through study and analysis, trying my best to leave emotion out of it. I agree that it is a problem but you can still find cause and effect at the root of it. While there are numerous different reasons to get an abortion, the one reason that stands out against all others is that the parent(s) cannot provide the best life for their child at the time, the life that our society dictates we should strive to provide, so they make that choice because (1) there was no affordable, accessible way to prevent the pregnancy and (2) there is no guarantee that good, adoptive parents will be found. In a no-win scenario, which choice do you make? BTW, I'm not advocating for abortion here. I'm advocating that we, as a society, should not be fighting tooth-and-nail to stop it but spending all that energy on making it unnecessary. That is, in my opinion, the only way to achieve a result were the most people benefit from the outcome.

Your link is actually helping my argument. According to the summary of the research paper:
98.3% of abortions are elective
~32% : too young --- Unable to provide for child
~30% : economic --- Unable to provide for child
~16% : to avoid adjusting life --- Unable to give child attention it needs
~12% : mother single/in bad relationship --- Unable to give child safe environment
~4% : enough children already --- Lack of access to contraceptives or birth controlAll of these reasons add up to one conclusion: almost all abortions are performed because the environment that the child will grow up in will NOT provide it the best opportunities to succeed and that idea runs contrary to key societal beliefs.

Yes, do you know of how few families there are who are willing to adopt or how hard the process is or how little resources are dedicated to finding adoptive parents? Are you an adoptive parent?

I can't speak for other countries but in the US it is VERY easy to adopt. If you adopt through your County not only is it free but they pay you money every month until the kids reaches 18. And if you adopt a minority child you get paid even more. And there are waiting lists to adopt.

You are confusing foster care with adoption. Foster care is where the state pays someone to look after the kids until adoptive parents are found. You are not paid to adopt, they become your child, just as if you birthed them, after the adoption is complete. The only benefit from adoption is you can claim them on your taxes. You didn't answer the other question, are you an adoptive parent?
