The rest of your post is so childish it doesnt merit an answer. Suffice it to say that crop production continues to rise, the developed countries are producing more and more from less and less land. Forest cover is on the increase, and the entire earth is 20% greener than it was in the 80s:
Sounds lovely.. I guess that's why we're so happy with the increasing population here in Britain? And why people in the world have never been so happy.. "Childish" is not accepting a problem that can clearly be seen.
Now is it bad enough that you let somebody else kick your butts without you trying to do it to each other? Now if we're all talking about the same man, and I think we are... it appears he's got a rather growing collection of our bikes.
Population increase in Britain is due entirely to immigration. Native birth rate is below maintenance.

Population across the planet is increasing, as shown in the charts in the previous links. Mass migration is a symptom of this problem.

Yes, it is increasing now, but in 20 years it will level off. Mass migration is a result of war, famine, repression, and a desire to make a better life in the west. Why would the migrants go from a less populated country to one that is more populated if overpopulation was a motivating factor? Clearly it isnt.

That is "care less"; careless has a totally different meaning. But I will excuse you as you are from foreign.

I don't think 10 pounds a month make a lot of difference.
It is enough to push people over the edge. Green taxes are killing people, right now, in the UK.

Mass migration is a symptom of over-population - not enough resources to go around, so you get "war, famine, repression". It's also a lot easier to move and take what others have worked to achieve, rather than work and achieve for yourself.
Munchies_Matt wrote:

Because: It's a lot easier to move and take what others have worked to achieve, rather than work and achieve for yourself. And the statistics that show that the world population has increased dramatically shows (wait for it)... that the population has increased all over the world! (Surprise!) :wtf: So (and here's the big reveal) they're moving from one overpopulated country to another. [Edit] To be clear, each country has a maximum number of humans it can sustainably support. It's not necessarily down to the size of a country, but the resources that country has and the impact on the environment of each person in that country. So you may have two countries, A and B - A is smaller than B, but because of its agriculture, geography, energy resources, water availability, etc, it may be able to support more people than country B. So while country B may have less population than country A, country B may be overpopulated while country A (smaller and with a higher population) may be well within its limits. Every country does have a limit though.

Why are you so childish? Look at the global birth rate: GLOBAL BIRTH RATE [^] Actually LOOK at it. Open the link and LOOK at what it is. What the trend has been. It is 2.4 children per family. That is at maintenance levels. When these kids become parents the result will be a lower population. Can you not understand the diagram? Can you not understand that 2.4 is the maintenance level globally? Can you not understand what effect a reduced birth rate has on population? But no, Brent has his own beliefs and will ignore all facts and logic, to defend them, including snide patronism. You really are a child you know. Grow up.

Nope, IMHO mass migration is mostly a symptom of war. People don't usually leave all behind just for fun, at least not in such a scale.
M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Why are you so childish? But seriously, you're telling me that you can say with 100% accuracy what will happen in 5 or 10 years time? The only fact on the table is that our population is approximately 8 times more now than it was 100 years ago and it's still increasing. Other than that, you're in the realm of guesswork.

For facts, get outside and take a look yourself at what's going on. The real world is very different to what's on the internet.

Heat has no effect on the levels of UV radiation getting through the atmosphere, so sun cream won't make a difference. Your "adaptable" arguments is fine for humans, but what about the rest of the natural food chain? You don't consider things in much depth, do you?

Why do you constantly ignore the fact the global birth rate has come down to 2.4, which is maintenance levels?
