Population increase in Britain is due entirely to immigration. Native birth rate is below maintenance.
Population across the planet is increasing, as shown in the charts in the previous links. Mass migration is a symptom of this problem.
Now is it bad enough that you let somebody else kick your butts without you trying to do it to each other? Now if we're all talking about the same man, and I think we are... it appears he's got a rather growing collection of our bikes.

Yes, it is increasing now, but in 20 years it will level off. Mass migration is a result of war, famine, repression, and a desire to make a better life in the west. Why would the migrants go from a less populated country to one that is more populated if overpopulation was a motivating factor? Clearly it isnt.

Why would the migrants go from a less populated country to one that is more populated if overpopulation was a motivating factor? Clearly it isnt.

It's not necessarily down to the size of a country, but the resources that country has and the impact on the environment of each person in that country. So you may have two countries, A and B - A is smaller than B, but because of its agriculture, geography, energy resources, water availability, etc, it may be able to support more people than country B. So while country B may have less population than country A, country B may be overpopulated while country A (smaller and with a higher population) may be well within its limits. Every country does have a limit though.

Nope, IMHO mass migration is mostly a symptom of war. People don't usually leave all behind just for fun, at least not in such a scale.

The only fact on the table is that our population is approximately 8 times more now than it was 100 years ago and it's still increasing. Other than that, you're in the realm of guesswork.

Heat has no effect on the levels of UV radiation getting through the atmosphere, so sun cream won't make a difference. Your "adaptable" arguments is fine for humans, but what about the rest of the natural food chain? You don't consider things in much depth, do you? :doh:

Oh, so you have moved the argument from what people eat to all animals? The earth is 25% greener since 1980 due to CO2. That is what the animals will eat.
