So it is. So what? It's also easy to trivialise and joke about things you do understand. It's a pretty boring and tbh quite pathetic response to an attitude you don't like to just say "You don't understand". You think (you've said) that as I'm not American I can't understand American culture and the gun argument - so how do you explain all those born and bred Americans who also don't like it? It's quite possible for people who disagree with you to have just as good an understanding of the issues as you do, you know.
I was out in Coloma on route 49 having a coffee and chatting to the girl who worked there. She was about 20, and lived not far, but further up in the hills with her mum. They had a couple of bears that were killing their chickens and generally being a pain so they shot them, butchered them and put them in the freezer. How do you defend yourself with elastic bands? The US isnt like much of Europe, so really you don't know what you are talking about.

Why just US citizens? Would you deny a gun like this to Europeans? Could they not handle one?
Everyone is born right handed. Only the strongest overcome it. Fight for left-handed rights and hand equality.
First, the EU commission will try to ban it, because the producer has a monopoly. Then the manual has to be translated umpteen times. The Catalonians would be "dangerously armed" suddenly, able to cause great eye-injuries to our soldiers! With the current cost of healthcare in the EU we would go broke. Then there'll be discussions on how to prohibit 3D-printers, because people can print the materials to build their own guns. On the other hand, our soldiers currently practice by yelling "peng"; so it might be kind of exciting for them to handle some real ammo :-\
