How did they synchronize all those moving clocks?

If mankind wasn't there to perceive it, would time still exist?

😂😂 I thought it was quite good the way the different concerts were spliced together to form the video. Roger Waters never appeared on stage with the rest of the band until 2005 at Live 8.

Mankind is not necessary. If I weren't here to perceive it, time wouldn't exist.

If it is an absolute void, there is nobody to observe what is (not)happening. If there is an observer, it is not an absolute void. Paradoxical isn't it? Edit: You seem to agree with this in later messages. :-D

I sort of accept that it's not possible to fully comprehend an absolute void. It wouldn't even have a size. Does it, as a void, even constitute an existence? It's paradoxical - but perhaps because our only way to attempt to envision or describe it give it attributes (observations, as you noted) which nullify the "property" of it being a void. You do get the picture - and, going back to the OP, why I think there may not be time if there was only an absolute void. The difficulty for any type of visualization and gedanken experiment make me limit myself to "may not".

If the only mankind to perceive time were Australian aboriginals living in dreamtime, would time still exist? Would it pass by, or would it have some other sort of structure than purely linear? Or would time be an imaginary dimension?

According to Wikipedia, Time has weekly circulation of 3,028,013, so I think we may conclude that it exists.

Seems to me that "Time" is a way to measure change in the universe, invented by mankind. It logically follows that if mankind had never been there, it would never have been invented. :~:~:~:~

I have been soo wrong about so many things, I could be wrong about this one too.

Seems like this question works for both the fourth dimension called time and the Pink Floyd song. Is it true that hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way?

Man's perception of time comes from recognizing the effects of its existence. Therefore time exists regardless of man.
