            1. Control of immigration, particularly extra EU. 2) Saving 10 billion a year (soon to be 17 billion). 3) A sense of self determination. 4) Ability to arrive at trade deals that suit the British economy. Those are obvious advantages. Of course the problems with leaving the EU are: 1) Isolation. (Airbus, etc, lack of economy of scale) 2) Loss of far east companies using the UK as a base for European penetration (Nissan, LG, etc) If we can arrive at a free trade deal with the EU, then the objections are dealt with. This also suits the EU too.

So you are getting out of the EU in order to curb non-EU immigration? Smart move.

Given the Syrian migrant crisis, there are now a very large number of non-EU migrants inside the EU. So control of the borders does actually present an opportunity to limit non-EU migration in that regard...

You are not even part of Schengen. Besides for non-EU citizens (which the migrants are) there is no free flow in the first place, even for Schengen. You have to enforce your damn laws. That would actually solve the problem. Here a graph for the actual number: [Migrant crisis: EU leaders plan secure migrant centres - BBC News](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-44652846) The numbers have fallen to small fraction of the crisis.

After March 29th you won't be getting any EU-immigration. The polish plumber will be replaced by an african or indian one. But we have to wait and see it unfolding :)

Dont you understand anything? We will be able to control our immigration. Millions of immigrants flocked to Europe, welcomed by Eurocrats, and Merkel. They then dictated how many each country will take. On leaving the EU it will be our decision who we let into the country.

Not to mention the fact that the EU actually invited these people in, and then dictated how many each country will take.

Here are the special exceptions that were made for the UK to keep them happy, exceptions, which no other member can even dream to enjoy: [Europe ‘à la carte’: The whats and whys behind UK opt-outs – EURACTIV.com](https://www.euractiv.com/section/uk-europe/linksdossier/europe-a-la-carte-the-whats-and-whys-behind-uk-opt-outs/) Getting rid of the UK levels the playing field and strengthens the community. To be fair, Europe is thankful to the british for beating the nazis. However the EU and the UK are better off separately. The EU is finally starting to see that. But indeed the british blaming the EU for their failure to control immigration is BS. It's a freaking island. All they have to do is control passports, which they actually do and ship the illegals back to France.
