An ACTUAL bug INSIDE my monitor screen! Pretty freaking annoying and no way to get it out. Definitely one of the more serious bugs I've seen in my programming career :| Hopefully it will go away by itself...

I had to read twice to realize you were referring to an insect! Sorry, the debugger won't help with this one! :) Hopefully, it won't leave an anti-pattern!

You could smear the side of the screen with honey, to lure it out :-\

I tried to smoke it out, but my monitor got overheated so I put it in the freezer, but now my monitor won't work anymore... :( (I actually know someone who did that with his phone because a friend said the microwave would charge it faster or something like that  )

had the same, an ant got in between the lcd and plastic (protective I guess) cover. figured it would find it's way out, next day still there, 2 days later sigh, still there ... so I figured try nudging it out: big mistake, dead ant stuck in not quite middle of the screen. ok, crack open the screen (and of course left burrs in the edge/crack where I pried off the front bezel). luckily plans to replace were already in place. anyway - moral of the story: if there's a bug in your screen don't poke at it.

I tried squashing it (at the edge), but no matter how hard I push it won't die :wtf: Apparently there's quite some room between the screen and whatever's in front of it...

Well if it left anything behind you will at least know what type of bug it was. It would be a remn ant!

We once had a customer that reported sporadic freezes and reboots. There did not seem to be any pattern to them and I was finally sent onsite to diagnose the problem. When I got there, I found a mouse nest inside the computer. One of those plates that cover the unused card slots on the back of the computer was missing and the critter was using that to get in and out. What makes this more amazing is that it was in a medical lab in a hospital!
