When I was growin' up, I was the smartest kid I knew. Maybe that was just because I didn't know that many kids. All I know is now I feel the opposite.

What kind of time travel? The one from back to the future or the one from hot tub time machine? Meaning are we talking branching time lines here or one self-coherent spacetime?

If you know the novel/movie "Time Machine", then you know why it's not a good idea to travel into the future: You will not feel at home in your original time frame any more, and the future will become your present. I know, quoting R. Kelly has become politically incorrect recently, but he puts like this, and I totally agree: "I wanna have to find my way, and I don't wanna have a clue. Just let the universe surprise me" So my only option would be to travel into the past. What I'd definitely like to see the most are dinosaurs. My favorite time would be the Jurassic period, as the Cretaceous period with its T-Rex and Velociraptor is too mainstream for me. I'd prefer to see the Brontosaurus, the Allosaurus, the Stegosaurus, the Diplodocus and the Archaeopteryx.

So...you know the exact date of your own demise? :~ Although I suppose you could go far enough into the future to look up your own obituary, then go back to that date... But my question is...what would you be trying to learn by attending your own funeral...? I think the risk is that, were it possible, it could fundamentally change what you think of some people, even closest friends and relatives...would you risk it?
If your best friend did not go to your funeral would you go to theirs? Oh, yes, I would definitely drag my rotting carcass to their funeral just to see everyone else freak out.

No particular order: - October 11, 1492 to watch the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria before they step foot on Guanahani. - Febuary 07, 2862 to lobby the world government to remove the temporal non-interference treaty and extend coverage down to 2000. - III Akhet 8, I'd go and watch the construction work on the Great Pyramid of Cheops as it's being renovated by Khufu. - July 20, 1969 to watch Neil Armstrong step on the moon. I don't know about the first three. But I was in the Beaconette Lounge, at the bar, drinking a cold Dixie beer, waiting for the band to come on, and watched on a black and white TV (the Transmission was in B&W too), as it happened. It was very cool. :cool::cool::cool:
Nothing was said about Elvis or Hitler on the other side of the moon, though.

Yes. My wife seems to enjoy the commercials more that the shows too. That's why we don't watch much TV together. She also insists on commenting on all of the action while it is happening! I will never understand women ...

Well, hard to choose the future as we don't know what events will occur... So I will go back in time and watch the dinosaurs get wiped out.
I would go back and just watch the dinosaurs live. People have speculated that the T-Rex was about as intelligent as a cat. Did it play with its prey as a cat does? Did it train it young to hunt? Inquiring minds want to know.
