In the US, "Conservatives" seems to mean extreme right-wingers.

        Wrong.

True but it is exactly what the DNC & MSM are pushing. They are selling the story that all conservatives (hell, all non-Democrats) are gun-toting, bible thumping, climate hating, abortion banning, misogynist, racist, neo-Nazi fascists. But don't make a big deal about it because this trope is exactly what's going to force Democrats even further into obscurity and irrelevance. While there is a VERY TINY percentage of hard-core ultra right wing zealots that check all those boxes the VAST MAJORITY of non-Democrats are nothing even close and they are personally insulted by the left's efforts to paint them as such. Basket of deplorables my ass!

[Note: Less than a week left to discuss this.] There's the Left Wing; there's the Right Wing... that seems to be about it in the US. In Britain and Europe there's a lot of people in between, more central in their politics. We need to create a Demoblican Party for those of us who do not espouse extreme positions. We also need a better name for it; "Repucrat" just doesn't work either. Any suggestions? Who would join such a party?

For a long time, now, I've describe myself as a Left-Wing Conservative . . .or was that Right Wing Liberal. I forget which. Pretty much, I follow my own path (and can gripe about anyone).

White nationalism is extremist. And yes, some very few people who claim to be Republicans are white nationalists. That they have the loudest voices right now is true, just like the extreme lefties have loudest super-loud voices. Doesn't mean everyone of either side agrees with or thinks or acts like them.

No, it's not that simple. If that were true, we wouldn't have Medicare and Medicaid and yet we do. We can pay for UHC. There are a lot of stakeholders who wish to keep the status quo and that is why I said that politics will make implementing UHC difficult but not impossible.

I guess you've never heard of cost shifting. The fact is the costs that Medicare and Medicaid refuse to pay gets passed on to those who unknowingly do pay for it: those on private insurance. I think one of the ways to bring down healthcare costs is to mandate pricing transparency and to have such prices broken down into how the prices are determined, i.e., what costs is the provider using to determine the prices.

Indeed. And 60 million people voted for a white nationalist and still support him. There is no difference between being a white nationalist and supporting white nationalist policies.

I have. The limited studies of it don't suggest it is a significant issue that would skew the reality of Medicare and Medicaid holding down cost much better than private insurance.

In the United States for health care costs to be lowered means the medical field, especially doctors and specialists need to take smaller paychecks. Medical supplies again is too expensive in the United States. As of right now, this second, UHC would never work. edit: let's not even discuss pharmaceuticals/Rx in the United States. way more expensive than in Europe, etc. especially with diabetes.

Indeed. And 60 million people voted for a white nationalist and still support him. There is no difference between being a white nationalist and supporting white nationalist policies.

If The Combover Con Artist wins reelection it will be because white nationalists voted for him. No one will make any of those voters vote for him.

You, your party, your candidate(s) and your media are alienating 10's of millions of normal average people (of all races) who lean conservative by calling them racists. Surely even you can see how absolutely idiotic that is? Right?
