We really need to STOP making fun of different programming languages...

In my entire life I haven't met any boy I found attractive in that way. Chances are minimal that it will happen now. I guess that we are different in this respect: If so should happen, I would certainly not feel ashamed by it. It wouldn't be against my morals. My ideas of what is "natural". A handful of my colleagues / friends have same-sex SOs. I think that is fine. With my opposite-sex SO friends/collagues, I often shake my head: How can they manage to live with that person? - but that is none of my business. Actually, none of my same-dsex SO friends/colleagues provoke the same reactions in me. If it did, I would say the same to myself: That is none of my business. That is one aspect that puzzles me: The Land of Freedom certainly is not one who grants you freedom from your neighbour's codemnation. In principele, you have your freedom, but the price you may have to pay is that your neighbours won't talk to you, you may have problems finding a job, people won't do business with you. That makes your freedom somewhat hollow.
I don't even understand straight relationships. How can you tell which one is the anarchist and which one is the communist? *hides*

The anarchist is the one with the pinko liberal T shirt. *Hides even better, but with popcorn*

Anarchists, communists, socialists, monarchists, democrats, republicans, and the dictatorship. You recognize a keeper by the answer "hedonist".

You would have no idea. I didn't make any statement, just a silly little comment.

Unlikely, since it is illegal.

Who? I don't even know what sexual orientation anyone is that I do business with. I sure don't live in the same world as you. :wtf:

I don't catch main message of your list. It's the same FUN LIST. Moreover - your list is total cr@p. C# - industrial language, handy for desktop and server development. C - mostly for gaming and embedded worlds. D - perspective language to replace old sh%%t like C. Period. There is no other languages which reward to live.

lol, you say to stop making fun and then you call that horrible python crap BEAUTY... and all the junky useless javascript as AWESOME... and keep the most actual awesome language (C)... with a title of just 'fast' yeah thats not something that sane programmers can go with

Then you got the joke; that you don't find it funny is another story. I don't find it funny that Delphi is FORGOTTEN.

Well we have a desktop application that uses both C# and Delphi interchangeably. We embed C# into Delphi forms and launch C# from Delphi. It's quite the madness. Definitely breaking my own signature quote rule ↓. Bond Keep all things a simple as possible, but no simpler. -said someone, somewhere

I think the funniest part of this joke is how many people completely miss it.

My favorite programming language is English. Or did I miss not only the joke but the message? Actually I'm just a carpenter and I have many hammers. ( except that stupid language Cobol. I saw an article that says it becoming popular again,,,,, sure it is) Actually I laughed at most of the responses posted on this one. When did programmers develop such a great sense of humor?

Why ? Also, in some cases, like VB6, it's the user and not the language, or maybe both. No reason to stop unless you know something better to do.
"The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits." - Albert Einstein
"If you are searching for perfection in others, then you seek disappointment. If you seek perfection in yourself, then you will find failure." - Balboos HaGadol Mar 2010
In the day VB6 was great for building quick desktop apps, but when .net was released, those developers should have jumped ship and started migrating all that legacy code when there was still a upgrade wizard to 90% move them to .net 1.0 but they didn't, or were not allowed to by their companies; if the latter case they should have left. I saw the writing on the wall in the beta previews, and got busy learning it. Those who are still furiously hanging on to VB6 likely should be mocked, it's 20 years out of date and should never be touched again. It would be like people still developing in FoxDB, VBA, or J++, it's a dead platform. Oddly enough I don't feel the same about COBAL, technically it's still has an active 'platform', and much of our infrastructure is built on it. The same for C, it's going to stay active in the embedded industry for the long term.
