        The rest of it (by my understanding) doesn't matter when the word appears as consecutive letters within the clue, so long as the definition is still at either end.

              In looking into it further, I learned that there should nonetheless have been an indicator that hinted at the word being embedded within the clue, which was therefore unfair.
