 Good song, enjoyed at first at a superficial level. But I then really listened to the lyrics. Is this a song about women having to worry about rufies everytime they go out? If it is, then it is quite powerful message. If not then still a good song.

      Quote:

From the dust hundred forty three one Fell in the circle of the world like a flower bud A million marbled mouths all blinking Moon of milky briar blooms sleeping Blithy flies swarm a swift pull trigger Lift me off the ledge, lick the sticky liquor Don’t let him in, don’t let them call your number Won’t you hold my hand as I go under? Ooh, come a little closer Ooh, same as the last Ooh, megalomaniac Cut my tongue, better watch your back Eye to thigh as he sharpens his blade Thick sweat, sick salt, lead bellyaches I don’t know what I’ve been drinking Dripping dread as all the lights start scrеaming Seven-inch steel bolt fed to thе head Now is then and I am now bound to forget The devil wears a cotton dress over his gun Jagged mumbles wispy warbles blushing in the sun Ooh, come a little closer Ooh, same as the last Ooh, megalomaniac Cut my tongue, better watch your back Ooh, come a little closer Ooh, same as the last Ooh, megalomaniac Cut my tongue, better watch your back

I have no idea what it's about. Maybe she just forgot the name of her beverage, or the specific flavor.

Bit too guitar-y for me. Sometimes reminds me of the Borderlands soundtrack.

I finally found two bands that my wife really can't listen, Arch Enemy and Jinjer. At least now she knows how I feel when she puts on the discography of Johnny Flynn, or the less known Pearl Jam songs.

Perhaps BABYMETAL will help, they were on SOTW too [BABYMETAL - BxMxC (OFFICIAL) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng8mh6JUIqY) :-) ...

aeseaes - Megalomaniac[^] I've been listening to a lot of metal lately, but my girlfriend doesn't always agree with that  She wanted something more relaxed, so I found aeseaes and we both liked it instantly. From their website: "aeseaes (pronounced A-C-S) is an independent husband-and-wife musical duo based in Austin, TX. Their songs blend dark folk with surreal lyrics and cinematic arrangements, featuring upright bass, trombone, vibraphone, piano, cello, collages of found sounds, and beyond." This song is the first song on their debut from 2021, Shapeshifter. Certainly impressive for a debut and also SOTW! :D

Jimi Hendrix is an experience. Saw him live many moons ago.

musically, reminds me of Gotye and Kimbra's mini-art-song-opera "Somebody That I Used to Love:" [^] ... imho, Kimbra is a first-class jazz/ballad singer, as well as able to sing like she does in the above. relaxing ? i hypothesize that you and your lady friend ... and i ... have such different nervous systems (dna ?) we could be from different planets :wtf: :)

Nope, she does like heavy stuff - Slayer, Slipknot, System of a down, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Dio, Judas Priest... just not Jinjer (for the rhytms) and too much growl.

I remember that song from when it was popular on MTV and radio :D Somewhere in 2016 you recommended Kimbra's Two-way street to me, which also made it into the SOTW
