Say goodbye to C++, C#, Java and JavaScript and expect all programming languages and existing code to be replaced with Hexagony in a year. GitHub - m-ender/hexagony: A two-dimensional, hexagonal programming language.[^] (From CodeProject Daily Insider) Obviously anyone can see this new technology will replace everything immediately. Only question left is whether my tongue is in my left or right cheek.

I dream of a language which is written in XML, so comments can be better associated with code statements while not cluttering up the code itself -- they could be shown or hidden as necessary, even as tool tips if desired by whoever happens to be viewing the code. Indeed, one person could be viewing the high-level description of a process and then delve deeper into the actual code as needed, while another could be looking at the low-level implementation and then view the description to understand the intent of the code. Not holding my breath. :sigh:

Wrong. Just log on to good old ChatGPD, type "give me my codez please" and head to the pub. :)

To be fair, the entire language only has this one issue[^], which is a lot less than, say, ASP.NET Core[^] :D

How to code malware in a bitmap?

Every time I see someone having regex problems, I exclaim: Long live Snobol! But I don't think a single one of my co-workers over the last 30 years has ever seen a Snobol program and know how to program it.
