we have tornados. Not sure which is worse. Hurricane much bigger and spawns tornados. But midwest tornados are huge and come out of nowhere.

Yes, but we have a daughter living with us and she works the late shift at a grocery store. She typically gets home after midnight. We need to sleep with phones on in case she has some emergency and needs us.

Just switch off emergency alerts on your phone. Although I am considering being present in Tesco on Sunday when everyone else's phone goes off and then proceed to run around babbling "We're all going to die!" Goodness knows what is going to happen on the roads when a bunch of drivers reach for their phones to switch off the loud alarm.

I like the prime time ones. If we are sitting in the den at 9pm watching TV and a gray Toyota drives through - it does not matter what the license plate is on it - I'm calling the cops. I don't need an alert for that.

Yeah, I've never made a mistake in system management, ;) . The company is losing their contract as a result since Ron (Mr. Perfect :laugh: :laugh: ) DeSantis has so ordained it. I'm not saying it wasn't a really dumb error, but let he who hath not sinned cast the first stone?

Around here, people complain if the weather forecast isn't on target three days ahead. The forecast reaches eight days ahead, but we all know that the further ahead, the less reliable. reminds me of the emergency drills they had in the USSR. probably they had some in the USA, too. just the US was not obsessed with the drills like the USSR. in the past 3 years the west has got a lot traits of the Warsaw Pact countries. sadly...
