The city of Zurich wants to help parents with questions about raising children: The city's mothers and fathers advice service sends out a newsletter every two months with tips for parents of children up to the age of five. The latest edition is also dedicated to “gender-sensitive education”. And that doesn't go down well with everyone. As a newpaper (“NZZ”) reports, parents are advised, among other things, to avoid using the terms mother and father when talking about other families. There are neutral terms as alternatives. Instead of “Rachel’s mom,” it could be “Rachel’s parent” or “Rachel’s caregiver.” Children are also more neutral than boys or girls. It's more the class of politicians who are 'so compatible' with everything and want to appear in the spotlight.

Other topic. I am now on a visit to some countries in Europe, with my wife. Today and tomorrow we are in Switzerland. Jungfrau trip today and on to St. Moritz tomorrow. Yesterday we were in Rhine Falls boat ride. Beautiful country, very scenic and friendly people.

I use the restroom that won't scare people. Has nothing to do with my chromosomes and everything to do with not causing a scene. It wouldn't be logical to go by chromosomes because you can't blood test everyone you meet.

I can understand the "Rachel's parent/caregiver" especially if you do not know Rachel's home situation. She might be in a single parent home living with only her Dad. She might even be in the foster program and living with foster parents. If Fred wants to be identified as female, I personally don't like it but fine, just don't compete in athletics against biological females. I'm going to stop there before I get into trouble.

Pretty much this. What the snowflakes want others to call them is another matter. My simplistic, perhpas naive mind goes something like this. Say you've just been diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease. Two medical procedures exist. One is certain to kill a man, but save a woman. The other will kill a woman, but save a man. When the doctor asks you which procedure you want to have, I think your choice of pronouns is gonna be the first thing out the window, no...?
