The rest of you are weird with your extra e's and insistence on using "c" where you should use "s" and calling "z" "zed" /american

What's the correct English spelling of the word that means something is fake, [Foe-nee]?

Best source of information to learn English spelling (and pronounciation): English is tough stuff[^] You can find this "poem" countless places on the internet; the link above was the top entry from googling "english is tough stuff". Lots of places claim that the text was developed at the NATO headquarters, but it is far older, written by Gerard Nolst Trenité and first published in 1920.

Religious freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make five.

Today I learned or is it learnt aluminium is a valid spelling and pronunciation even though this editor software disagrees. "I must have had lessons." - Reverend Jim Ignatowski / Christopher Lloyd

In India, it is Aluminium, and is pronounced so. This is likely to be as in Britain. However, when i went to the US, about 20 years ago, saw the spelling as Aluminum, and even the pronunciation so.
