Either concat the name or else hyphinate[sp?] it. Your "legal" name is what appears on your credit card, since that is what they will use to charge it (if the seminar is free, then point is moot)

If I'm right, it's because Chinese names are different from western ones. It's usually arranged Last Name : First Name : Middle Name* and that's the way it appears on the identification. *without the ':' of course

If I'm right, it's because Chinese names are different from western ones. It's usually arranged Last Name : First Name : Middle Name* and that's the way it appears on the identification. *without the ':' of course

In Europe, mostly YES. There are some northern countries which take the first name of the father as last name of the children adding some endings like son ( Sigurd Olafson, his son's name is then Ole Sigurdson ... AFAIK, correct somebody me if not right...) But in central and western Europe, First Name is (parents) choice, Last Name is by birth...;)

Now if his son is named Peter, his name will be Peter John and not Peter Mathew :-) And Peter's son Alex will be Alex Peter. And in fact most people don't even expand their surname. My official name on all legal records in India is Nishant S But when I went to the US I had to use Nishant Sivakumar because they didn't accept a one-character surname If I have a son his name will be [name] Nishant or [name] N where [name] is what we name him. Interesting stuff Nish, thanks. Sounds awfully confusing though. I know it is different around the world, but what I said applies for most western countries (UK, Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc.) Also I assumed he was referring to a western country as he used western terms (I am sure you must have your own Indian terms rather than relying on British colonial rules).
