This is a 'byproduct' of deregulation of the interstate shipping industry. Competition has grown so fierce that truck drivers can't afford the lost miles or time for a ten minute pee stop. X|

I found the rest stops in the US, though strongly depending on the state, mostly very comfortable, and adequately spaced. Texas was cool.
