After doing a Google search and being presented with the results list, are you more likely to click on the direct link to the site or the link that takes you to Google's cached copy? I recently reflected on the fact that I usually click on the cached link, as it gives me a more consistent response, and provides keyword highlighting, and wondered how many people coming to CP are ending up in Google's cache. Direct link. Unless the site is broken...at which point I want Google's cache.

Reason is that it helps to pick out the part of the document that I need to focus on quickly....yes, I could do the Ctrl+F thing, and then search for the keyword that am looking for, but find that a quick scroll, then read the appropriate bit is much simpler.... Direct unless it is not available.

I didn't think Google cached images. If you look at the Google cache of a web page and then do a properties on any image, the URL points to the original site. Visit Riverside Internet[^] Visit Mike Puddephat Online[^]
