      I'm so disappointed in you, Marc. ;) While you could install messenger plus, a true hack would write a little app that gets the main application window for Messenger, then gets the child window using the "MSNMSBLGeneric" class (good ol' Spy++), then makes it go away through various means.

                  Newsflash... this just in... its now official, J. Lo and Marc are now, officially, a couple. My life is now complete. :) If I had a better memory I would remember more.

                    Been there, done that. Been hiding and moving windows. Sometimes with decent results, until you start resizing the window. Weird things happen then. :) -- Booohoo!
