I've been asked about reading Photoshop vector images in C#, and as I don't have Photoshop, I'm not even sure what format that is ? I thought .psd was raster format ? Can any Photoshoppers out there point me in the right direction ? Does Photoshop export vector images at all ? In it's own format ? Thanks Christian I have several lifelong friends that are New Yorkers but I have always gravitated toward the weirdo's. - Richard Stringer

It is possible to vector-based masks to a Photoshop image (and psd file), and you can export them to Illustrator files. But Photoshop doesn't have a vector-based file-format by itself. - Morten

My advise would be to export from Photoshop to .eps files. The format seems to be much better documented than the native .psd format...

Sounds cool ( especially as I can't find any info on AI files online :-) ). Christian I have several lifelong friends that are New Yorkers but I have always gravitated toward the weirdo's. - Richard Stringer

AI files are EPS files with a bit structure. - Mort

Fireworks is better suited, also it makes use of PNG extensions so the file is saved in a readable PNG format. I have played abit with it, especialy exporting vectors to flash. all i can say pretty nifty :) top secret
