Yes, Uncle Chris.... I'm still trying to get the ^%)(^$%) thing to work. I'm guessing it accepts my image and then finds it is bigger than 120 x 100 so does not show it. I'm at the point were I'm thinking a nose up shot might fit. Check out Norm Almond's image for an example why they should be bigger - I couldn't pick him out in a line up for any amount of money after looking at that. However, it is a very cool idea, regardless of what I percieve as an over limitation. About time I got a gander at these people I chat to every day. Now if people post for love advice, a quick check will allow the possibility that someone is just plain ugly :-) I was going to say you can check my profile to see that it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black, but sadly it still isn't uploading my image sucessfully. My image is now 66 x 83 ( I just remembered I *can* check image size in Windows Paint ). I'm getting an 'internal server error' whenever I try to update my settings... I think 150x150 is good enough. It's up to us to find a pic that is appropriate for that size restriction. Besides a picture that even has an identifiable image of the intended subject, the problem might actually be that some folks are using third-rate paint programs to make any adustments that might be needed. I use PaintShop Pro. The pic I posted is a crop of a larger photo, but Chris made it fairly easy on us. The max resoplution of the pic is *square*, so all we have to do is crop a picture so that the cropped area is square and resize the cropped area to 150 pixels. PaintShop pro makes this task almost brainless in it's simplicity. "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001

Bowing to popular demand (and also the fact that I've got a ton of boringh stuff I should be doing, but did this instead) you can now upload images that will be displayed in the 'who's who' pages, and next to your bio at the bottom of your articles. BTW - no abuse of this facility will be tolerated. Post a pic that is offensive, degrading or downright illegal and your account gets flagged as having no images allowed permanently. If the system is abused generally then it gets scrapped. "Don't you have more important things to be doing?" I hear you all cry. Yes. Yes I do. cheers, Chris Maunder

Chris, I think this picture feature is awesome. We can now actually see who we are talking to. And sometimes a picture worth a thousand words. :) But there is a new little problem: multiple choices for Occupation and Interests fields are not saved anymore. Only first selections are saved. :( Thank you.

I've got a pic of Charleton Heston here somewhere - think anyone would believe it? I met a lizard today who claimed to be a Brontosaurus, on his mother's side. I didn't laugh; it caused no harm, yet made him happy, in a world where happiness is in short supply...

It was taken in a client’s office. While waiting for the client (he was out of the room) an-ex-co worker, who was with me at the meeting, started 'playing' with the camera. Then just as the co-worker said something (I'm not sure I should repeat it), the client came in the office. :-O "No one knows what power lies yet undevelopped in that wiry system of mine." Cool :-) I went looking for a pic to upload, and realized I don't have very many pictures of myself (imagine that!). Most of the pictures that I do have of myself, my face was turned half sideways, too close to someone else, or are from a week long train trip I took last spring (meaning not the nicest). Not to say that the one I uploaded is the nicest, I'm sure  . In fact I thought I should explain the expression on my face. Long story short: I'm trying to contain my laughter  "No one knows what power lies yet undevelopped in that wiry system of mine." Ada Lovelace 1815-1852
