I think it's a great place. Great culture, music, food and people. I just survived the ACL music festival. 160+ bands played over the weekend with 60,000 people crammed into an open field with 108 degree weather.

This isn't a problem in Toronto. First, we have a Tim Horton's on pretty much every major street corner or close by... and they are open 24/7. You can get food... but not a burger. Many MacDonald's have 24 hr drive-thrus. There are other places. Most of the sub shops are open late to accomodate the bar closing crowd.

In Hobart, we have 4 TV channels and nothing worth watching. In my hotel there are about 10, and it's worse. AND at 3 am there's NOTHING open in Seattle. I thought the US was a service oriented society ? Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++
The front desk should know what's open 24HRs in the area. There is probably a diner open somewhere. Worst case, you could buy a clocal newspaper and bag of chips at the gas station. What's up with 10 channels??? I thought most hotels had the standard 60-70 channel setup. BTW, Welcome to the US. It can only get better, right? BW
