Need I start another topic? Anyone know what alternatives are coming available or look promising? I've tried the natural gas cars and they make life miserable. I don't know if natural gas is more plentiful such that it would match the economy of gasoline. But the reason china and india are exempted is to allow then to grow and acchieve the same wealth as the west (including the US). You can only object to their exemption if you feel the US is as impovirished as those two countires, or, you dont give a fuck about them becoming as wealthy as the US. But, the quickest way to what will be the future si to allow these countries to come up to speed as fast as possible. That way, they will become viable markets for US exports. We have the same issues with eastern europe. We can exclude them from the wealth club, or we can get them up to speed as fast as possible. And we have to take that pain on the chin for now, it will come right in the end, and the faster we get there the better. Nunc est bibendum

That's not quite true. An oil field extends far past the actually area the easily extracted oil is removed from. Once an 'empty' well is capped and abandoned, the residual oil that extended into the surrounding rock seeps back into the emptied area. Some old wells have been reopened to remove this residual content. However, generally speaking, it is of a lower quality than the original content and hence needs additional refining capacity before coming to market - hence is more expensive. (Unless you have an alternative theory for the spontaneous gneration of oil)

Not because of the wealth as you would like to think but because of that attitude. If you think wealth earns happiness, health (wait maybe you do need money for that in America) or respect you are misguided. Rich men often die lonely.
Maybe you didnt get what I was saying, read the whole post. And who said I was happy because I'm doing well? I was just as happy when I was poor and in college. And BTW, I want everyone to be rich and be happy. If your country was wealthy and doing well, I would be very happy for you. Recent polls say that Americans are more happy than Europeans. I dont know if that is true, but I know how I feel. You need to quite worrying about other poeple's wealth and start worrying about your own situation. I hope you strike it rich whereever you are, I would truly be happy for you.

Yes, and the best gift is freedom to do what you want. If you want to be lazy and drink beer all day? Go for it! I really dont care. I just hate it when the beer drinker starts complaining that the other people have more than him and claims it's not fair. Where I live people are very giving. If someone is in trouble we band together and help out. It's beautiful.

No, The US knew it was a crazy plan, and unfair to the US. If the goal is to cut pollution, then cut it. If it is to bring down one economey, to lift another, then just say it.
