'Fraction' class is subclass of 'Object'. But 'new' method is available in 'NSObject' class. That is the reason why it its showing warnings for you.

MY way around it is to write RemObject's code in Pascal, or C#, or Silver (Swift) and make my project be .net, or java, or Cocoa (iOs, etc.) You create the app and use native libraries.

Now that they no longer need it so a lot of support is going toward Swift. 14th rank is because of the legacy programmers, legacy projects and so on, otherwise I haven't seen any discussion about Objective-C ever since I became a programmer, that is a very long time.
