RealDevs In Disarray

Do you have any idea how many people came and went through CodeGuru while it was building up? My point is that one person leaving a company/venture doesn't exactly equal "disarray" - especially this early in the game when RealDevs doesn't even have an identity yet. CodeGuru ... yeah, and look at the great site it is today!! Oh, wait... :doh: Your example aside :), I agree with you, though. I think RealDevs still has potential, so I guess we'll see where it goes. An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.

Have your dirty laundry airing out on the washing line rather than festering in your mistresses panty drawer. People are much more interested in what is behind the closed door than what is sitting in the open door. And if they don't find out, they make up the wildest, craziest stories. Something happened here. This isn't just a code monkey who left the management team, it was one of the two founders. RealDevs.net was Marc and Anders from my perspective. Now sure there have been many founder-pairs that have split early on each to go his own way. But then there is your part, coming in and joining the original two. Then not long after, Anders leaves. That is odd. I am just curious as I said. Well, we were 3 owners after Tom joined. The site started to take a turn that I did not like and being the only one of 3 who did not like it I had the option to shut up and do what the other said, or do something else. Both Tom and me is very independant people and, as someone told me this morning, I have my own way of doing things. Some people did not like my ways, so that's it. I started the whole thing, and I could not just sit and watch it all go in a direction I did not like. Well, thats the way business is. All stuff have been moved away from my servers and is now running on Marc's, so I'm officially out. - Anders Money talks, but all mine ever says is "Goodbye!" Exactly. I'm sure we'll develop a "personality" at some point, but right now it's just about sharing code and ideas with fellow developers and having fun running our own site. Now sure there have been many founder-pairs that have split early on each to go his own way. But then there is your part, coming in and joining the original two. Then not long after, Anders leaves. That is odd. I am just curious as I said. I think you forgot the text that goes along with that asterisk. :) I tend to disagree. People are rumor mongers, and frankly I feel that it's none of their business. I expect a certain level of maturity (yeah, yeah, I know, this is a joke, me talking about maturity, right???) and it would be nice if there was a general "well, this is their business, not mine" reaction. But no, people want the dirty laundry hung out so they can read about while waiting in line at the grocery store, along with the three eyed freak. Let me tell you what happens with airing out the dirty laundry. Each person says their side of the story, arguments happen, and the observers form opinions as to who is right and who is wrong. And those opinions can be a lot more damaging, because they get spread to other people, than the lame execuses like "he left to spend more time with his family", as at least this way, you're left guessing.
