How to anger your customer base

Our company got hit with this problem last Friday. Nearly took out half of our computer systems. http://www.trendmicro.com/en/support/pattern594/overview.htm[^] Anybody else find it funny that this anti-virus software is more dangerous than many viruses? :P Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

Also, I never got a virus on all these years. Knowledge about how viruses work, how they are installed on your machine, and safe (aka paranoid) habits are all that you need. Due to an isolated anomaly in the engineering, development and pattern release process ... In other words, it was caused by problems in design (engineering), coding (development), and QA (release process). How can it still be called an "isolated anomaly"? :laugh:

I've also been flying low on my home computer, until my wife receive an email from a 'known' friend with the blaster worm and know I've had to put on AVG :(

Be careful! Letting her attach to your network may be considered a sign of committment...:rolleyes: onwards and upwards...

When I said "um, could you maybe not do that please" she started berating me with "They're from people I know! So-and-so would never send me a virus!"

That's the point when I hurriedly sneak out of the room and trip the mains power breaker. All of a sudden her user account doesn't work anymore... ;)

Ditto man...I've never installed any AVS...about 15 years now...and never got anything... I do however use a firewall :) It's frustrating being a genius and living the life of a moron!!!
