Is the MSDN sign in clogged?

I can navigate anywhere through MSDN until I try and sign in (I need to get my key for VS.NET 7.0) and the sign script times out every time. I've been trying for an hour and a half ... anyone else having any luck?
From http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/prodinfo/qa.asp#subdwnld If you receive an error message or if your browser times out, try these steps. If this does not work, please contact us.
-
Close all Internet browser windows.
-
Open Internet Explorer (IE).
-
Be sure you are signed out of Passport. If you need to sign out of Passport, go to http://www.passport.com and click the "Sign Out" icon.
-
From the IE menu, choose Tools Select Internet Options... Click the Settings button Click the View Files button
-
Delete all cookies with "MSDN" in them, or alternatively,
-
Delete all cached files.
-
Click OK and close all dialog boxes.
-
Go to https://msdn.one.microsoft.com and sign in to Passport (Do NOT select "Sign me in automatically on this computer). There is a known problem with logging into Subscriber Downloads caused by the "Sign me in automatically on this computer" feature.
I had the same problem, but this fixed it. Jon Sagara What about :bob:? "Teve Torbes, I've only got one thing to say to you: Tuck Off!" -- Dob Bole

Thanks for the advice, but still a no-go. I got in about an hour ago, but Visual Studio .NET was no longer listed. This is driving me crazy. I downloaded it last night, and it sits useless on my computer. -Ric

In a nutshell, we're doing a whole lot of calculations based on some data entry. It would be great to have the data entry portion on the web and leave our calculation engine on our server and have the web app call our calc engine (which would be a web service) and spit out the answer back to the client. Nothing earth shattering there.

.. I'm desparately tryign to think of something really witty to say about your "(almost)" but I can't. So I won't say anything.
hehe, I through the almost in to cover people like Christian and Michael; but it also refers to me as well. I sent an e-mail to my boss telling him to activate our subscription last night, hopefully he'll be doing that today :) James Sonork ID: 100.11138 - Hasaki

billb2112 wrote: Nothing earth shattering there. But exactly what we need :) A lot of people diss web services because they can do the same thing with older technology. They say "but I can already do that? whats the big deal?". WEll the big deal to me is that there is now a standard and easy way to do it, one which everyone will use and so interoperability and integration will come to fruition with much less effort. Also ease of use is a big thing to me. Before .NET or SunOne building a web-service like technology was quite a mission. Now all the infrastructure and methods are already there, you can focus on the data and the solution. I believe that once people make virtually all their data and services available by a web-service interface that the industry will gain momentum and evolve into a much more integrated "web." regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge Martin Marvinski wrote: Unfortunatly Deep Throat isn't my cup of tea Do you Sonork?
