For me (not saying I'm brilliant or anything), I prefer to just keep working and get the job done without fuss. If other people want to waste time playing up to the crowds, that's their choice. Intelligent people are often very driven, in that once they put their mind to something, it is very hard to distract them. People who, well, aren't quite so intelligent, tend to get distracted very easily.

You got a problem with me Sandgroper? Michael Martin Australia "I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you". That bright....shiny....object....JUST can't stay focused  I would rather have the one track mind than to be derailed at every opportunity like some folks are  I've seen better runs in my shorts! - Patches O'Houlihan

Maybe this is a question with an obvious answer, but why do all the brilliant folks do all the work that keeps them behind the scenes and out of the spotlight (coders included), but those like Britney Spears are all out there wiggling their bodies in front of the masses. In a way it seems backwards that the public hardly ever gets to see the magic of intelligence...but then it looks like too many are blind to it and need us to keep their world from falling to pieces like an egg shell and exposing them to reality... My words might be a bit harsh but they are said in context of honesty rather than to offend. I've just noticed that CP is full of intelligent people with open minds that you wouldn't always meet elsewhere, people whose brains are put to work daily and relax by brain activity as well... I don't know what else to say, but i know someone else will add whatever has slipped out of my mind Roswell :)

City Mayor, Los Angeles, CAI see from your profile that you’re about 16 or so right? Without getting preachy, put the remote down, see that room with the blue sky and the absence of climate control? Explore it; don’t worry about what the plastic people on the plastic TV are doing. Join the CP crowd and give up watching that crap. Modern society isn’t much different than any other previous society (Romans, Greeks). Life is what you make it.
I'd love to help, but unfortunatley I have prior commitments monitoring the length of my grass. :Andrew Bleakley:
