In addition to all those replies, is it possible that what you ate here left an aftertaste that affected the Coke taste? Nice state Atlanta. Went there on business once, and loved the accent. Was horrified to learn it is Coke country and they did not offer Pepsi. :(

IIRC, Coke slightly varies their formula (primarily the sugar content) to suit the taste of the country where it's sold. I found Coke and Pepsi tasted much sweeter in India than in the US. I had a REALLY bad can of Dr. Pepper once, it was from a vending machine but had expired by about 3 months. I called the coca-cola company about it with the product code. They really took that seriously. There must be some agreement that stock is rotated frequently and old product is not supposedly available.

I'm constantly getting coupons this way. I bought a bag of donuts once that said 6 servings of 4, or 24 donuts. A few days later when I tallied up how many I ate, it was only 19. I wrote them about it and received two coupons in the mail for free products. A few months later I did the same exact thing (two more coupons), only the number in the bag increased to 19.
