Did you try Coke Zero? It's like Diet Coke without the soap.

I don't really like almonds that much, so I doubt I would like the American Mars bar. I haven't had the opportunity to try one though.

You must have an ectomorph body build like me. I'm 6' and only 125-130 lbs (about 57-59 kg). I can eat all kinds of stuff without gaining weight. But my body tells me it doesn't like that anyway, so I generally eat healthy.

Is it consistent, or could you have just gotten an "old" can or bottle? I'm a Dr. Pepper fan and it happens on occassion. Nothing worse than looking forward to a cold soda, only to have it ruined by a bottle that wasn't sealed! In any case, you could fire off an e-mail to CC. I've done this several times in the past and they do respond.

I had a REALLY bad can of Dr. Pepper once, it was from a vending machine but had expired by about 3 months. I called the coca-cola company about it with the product code. They really took that seriously. There must be some agreement that stock is rotated frequently and old product is not supposedly available.

I'm constantly getting coupons this way. I bought a bag of donuts once that said 6 servings of 4, or 24 donuts. A few days later when I tallied up how many I ate, it was only 19. I wrote them about it and received two coupons in the mail for free products. A few months later I did the same exact thing (two more coupons), only the number in the bag increased to 19. Their QA was definitely improving!

This happens with me an Mtn Dew sometimes...although if I really just need the caffeine I will drink gatorade and a Vivarin (200mg pure caffeine!). Works like you wouldn't believe, although once I drank a Mtn Dew with a Vivarin...had shaky hands for 2hrs or so. Otherwise they work good and I think you can take them every 4 hrs, since I only sleep 3hrs a night because of my second job they come in handy ;)

An Apple can also be handy for energy, they are chock full of natural sugar. One morning I was a little groggy and didn't really believe it but I tried it... and to be safe had some Mountain Dew... Talk about getting the shakes

The concentration of phosphoric acid in Coke's syrup is far too small to be that effective. Carbonic acid, which is moderately useful for tasks such as removing stains and dissolving rust deposits (although plain soda water is much better for some of these purposes than Coca-Cola or other soft drinks), it is relatively weak. The gastric acid in your stomach is much stronger than any of the acids in Coca-Cola.

It's really odd, but Coke tasted better in Toronto than here (even though Atlanta is the home of Coca cola). Maybe the water used, and the sugar types mixed in makes a difference. As a compulsive Coke drinker, this has been worrying me these last few days. I just hope that my body's taste appreciative mechanisms will bio-adjust to the new Coke flavor - if not I am wondering if I should order Canadian Coke in mass every month.

                                  Regards, Nish

Coke varies their formula for different markets, including sugar content and fizziness. If you're in the Atlanta area, you can (or at least could a few years ago) taste the Coke sold in various other parts of the world at the World of Coke museum.

IIRC, Coke slightly varies their formula (primarily the sugar content) to suit the taste of the country where it's sold. I found Coke and Pepsi tasted much sweeter in India than in the US. I stopped drinking the stuff about 10 years ago when I learned it was really good at getting rid of oil stains from garage floors. :) /ravi

So that's why Coke in Nigeria tasted much better than the Coke here. Unless it's the old, new Coke that they replaced with the new, old Coke. :)

I think the Coke in Frankfurt, Germany tastes better than ANY Coke I've ever had in the US. My wife thinks I'm crazy. I'm glad to hear that there's someone else who's noticed a difference between regions of the world.

Did you try Coke Zero? It's like Diet Coke without the soap.
